A cyclist has suffered injuries after a vehicle crashed through barricades and was left dangling over the edge of the Rideau Canal. The Ottawa Police Service responded to the collision near the Canal Ritz restaurant off Queen Elizabeth Driveway. Paramedics assessed a woman in her thirties who was clipped by the vehicle, along with the driver, who is a man in his seventies. Emergency crews successfully pulled the vehicle back from the waterway ledge to prevent it from submerging.
