TMC MP Mahua Moitra Alleges Nadia Administration Asked Her To Vacate Circuit House Late At Night

TMC MP Mahua Moitra has alleged that the Nadia district administration asked her to vacate a state-owned circuit house late at night after she had already checked in. Moitra says she was informed hours after arriving at the facility and has now written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla seeking intervention.

According to Moitra’s account, she reached the circuit house in Krishnanagar on August 14 after the Parliament session and was shown to her usual room. She claims she later received a call from the Additional District Magistrate and was asked to vacate the premises. She has also raised concerns about her safety after an alleged crowd gathered outside the circuit house.

The Nadia district administration had not immediately responded to the allegations at the time of the report.
