I Climbed the Highest Mountain in West Java

After a long break from the mountains, it was finally time to return! ⛰️🇮🇩

My journey through West Java, Indonesia continues as we travel from Jakarta to Cirebon, before taking on Mount Ciremai — the highest mountain in West Java at 3,078 meters above sea level.

Before climbing Mount Ciremai, we explore Cirebon, visit Pasar Kanoman, try the famous Tahu Gejrot, and spend the night at Desa Alamanis Resort before heading towards the mountain.

The next morning, we travel to the Sadarehe route of Mount Ciremai, where we meet our local team, prepare our equipment and begin the climb.

Ahead of us is a 21 km journey up and down Mount Ciremai, including around 10 hours of climbing to reach our campsite. Along the way, we experience the forests and landscapes of Gunung Ciremai National Park, challenging terrain, changing temperatures and an unforgettable sunrise before making our final push towards the 3,078-meter summit of Mount Ciremai.
