Putin’s ‘GHOST WEAPON’ Blindsides Ukraine Defences; Nightmare for Zelensky As Russia Strikes Unseen

Russia’s Banderol munition is adding strain to Ukraine’s air defenses as Moscow expands its use of the jet-powered weapon across the battlefield. The Banderol, also known as the S8000, combines features of a cruise missile and drone, reportedly reaching speeds above 500 km/h with a range of up to 500 kilometers. Its low-altitude flight profile, maneuverability and autonomous navigation make interception difficult, while its 150-kilogram warhead gives it significant destructive power. Ukrainian officials say Banderol attacks are increasing across multiple regions, including Odesa and Kharkiv. The weapon’s growing battlefield role could force Ukraine to expend valuable air-defense resources against a new Russian threat.
