COBRA meeting on heatwave called as UK braces for another scorcher

Downing Street has announced the prime minister will be chairing a meeting of COBRA - the government's emergency committee - on the response to the "extreme heat, wildfires and drought".

It will be the first COBRA chaired by Andy Burnham since he became prime minister.
