In this update on the notorious case, Sarah Boone has filed a brand new complaint with the Sixth District Court of Appeal. After receiving a life sentence without parole, Boone is directly defying court instructions by going over her court appointed attorney's head.
In her latest handwritten letter, Boone claims her appellate lawyer, David Maldonado, is refusing to file a reply brief or request oral arguments, accusing him of pre-determining her appeal's failure. However, Maldonado's letter tells a very different story, one of a overworked defense attorney setting strict boundaries with a notoriously demanding client.
