RG Kar Case | Suvendu Adhikari Says Justice Must Be Served | Fresh Probe Under Court Supervision

The RG Kar rape and murder case continues to remain a major focus as West Bengal politics and the ongoing investigation draw renewed attention.

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has said that justice must be served and that the demand for justice is shared by citizens across the state. He said the CBI investigation is proceeding on the basis of documentary evidence, while a fresh investigation is also underway under court supervision.

Adhikari also referred to allegations surrounding the handling of the case and claimed that administrative action had been taken, including action against officials and other individuals. He said the state government and health department would continue investigating matters that fall outside the CBI's scope. He further spoke about alleged irregularities connected to the case, including a purported cremation-related scam, and said police had been directed to investigate CCTV footage and take appropriate action.
