The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after an Ontario Provincial Police officer shot and killed a 28-year-old man in Brockville Thursday night. CTV's Katelyn Wilson reports that members of the OPP East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit were assisting Brockville Police with a search warrant at a home near King Street West and Broad Street. Area resident Michael Adamcryck says the violent incident is a real anomaly for the typically safe downtown neighbourhood. Investigators remain on the scene to determine what prompted the officer to discharge the weapon during the fatal interaction.
