Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a student event titled 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, focusing on youth potential, data rights, paper leaks, and employment challenges. Speaking to a large gathering, Gandhi stated that the combination of youth potential and data defines the 21st-century economy, emphasizing that artificial intelligence cannot function without user-generated data. He criticized the current system for handing over public data to large corporations while failing to provide permanent employment to educated youth. Gandhi highlighted that despite acquiring higher education degrees, young people face severe job scarcity and paper leaks. During the event, students shared their experiences regarding state recruitment exams, alleging widespread scams, irregularities in normalization processes, and lack of accountability in recruitment boards. Journalist Simar Chawla stated that thousands of students registered for the interaction despite administrative hurdles and heavy rainfall in Prayagraj.
