Peter Martin questions the lack of leaders on the pitch in the Scottish Premiership. Tam McManus believes Hibs fans are waiting for an excuse to call for David Gray's head at Hibs.
Gordon Parks reckons Falkirk might have a battle to stay up this season. Predictions, arguments and Tam's hair dominate the show!
Was it really that embarrassing? Peter Martin is joined by Alan Rough, Gordon Parks and Tam McManus for The Football Show, and they open on Rangers' European night - and the captaincy call that has everyone talking. Lawrence Shankland was named Rangers skipper barely a week ago, yet he was left out and only came on in the 85th minute, with vice-captain Dan Neil wearing the armband and getting hooked at half-time. Does the captain's armband still mean anything in the Scottish game?
The panel don't all agree it was a disaster - there's a case that we underrate the quality of European opposition and that these qualifiers come too soon in the season - but there's no getting away from the money gap between the Champions League and the Europa League that Rangers now need to bridge on Celtic.
They also send their best wishes to Celtic manager Martin O'Neill, who is recovering after surgery. With O'Neill, 74, out of hospital and in good spirits but a doubt for the dugout, the show asks the difficult questions about his health, his age and the added pressure of a Celtic board that fans are already turning on - with the club still chasing signings before the Champions League qualifier.
Tam McManus doesn't hold back on Hibs: he reckons the fans are just waiting for an excuse to turn on David Gray. Gordon Parks makes the case that Falkirk could have a genuine relegation battle on their hands, there's a look at Kilmarnock v Celtic and Motherwell's European style of play, plus the panel's predictions for this weekend - and, inevitably, Tam's hair.
