Kimchi and I have been shooting with the unreleased Insta360 X6 since early June, before the official launch on August 12, 2026. This is the first hands-on video from that testing, covering everything you missed on the official Insta360 X6 teaser.
What we cover in this video: the new 1-inch equivalent CMOS sensor and why it changes X-series image quality, the 10-bit color i-Log profile, the redesigned body compared to the Insta360 X5 and DJI OSMO 360, and much more.
Real world sample footage in this video was shot at Dodger Stadium during Anime Expo, a Venice Beach rave, and above and under the water in Maui, Hawaii. Every clip is straight from the Insta360 X6 (in 10-bit i-Log, with ProRes and Rec.709 standard exports). A few shots did not clear the embargo window yet. You will see them in the August 12 review.
