Russian forces launched four guided aerial bombs at Ukraine's northeastern city of Sumy overnight, damaging a shopping centre, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, according to Ukrainian officials. Authorities said at least two people were injured in the attack, which struck the Kovpakiv district of the city. Regional officials reported widespread damage, including shattered windows and damaged public facilities, as emergency crews continued recovery operations. The strike comes amid what Ukrainian authorities describe as a near-daily campaign of Russian attacks on the border region.
