The controversial exam that could be hurting kids | 60 Minutes Australia
In 2008 Australia adopted a New York style exam aimed at testing kids numeracy and literacy skills, called National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). 18 years later the test remains controversial amongst children, parents and teachers alike. In 2013 Ray Martin visited the schools grappling with the effects of the NAPLAN test and travelled to the USA to find the man responsible for its creation.
