The News Today On NVIDIA Stock, SpaceX, Micron Stock, SK Hynix Stock - NVDA Update
Hosts of CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg discuss NVIDIA, NVIDIA stock (NVDA stock), Micron, Micron stock (MU stock), SK Hynix, SK Hynix stock (SKHY stock), and SpaceX's decision to build exclusively on NVIDIA's architecture. On Wednesday, Sandisk reported earnings, beating consensus expectations for revenue, EPS, and gross margin. Sandisk's next-quarter revenue guidance fell short of consensus expectations. Overall, results and earnings call commentary were positive regarding demand. Also on Wednesday, we learned of reports that China's CXMT rejected Apple's request for a price cut during negotiations as Apple is reportedly considering using memory from CXMT. This aligns with what Reuters reported a couple weeks ago, saying that CXMT has been raising prices for months and charging some customers more than Samsung and SK Hynix. CXMT would not be charging higher prices if there were a surplus of supply. It's also being reported that Anthropic is assembling an in-house chip design team. This was expected. Morgan Stanley spoke with NVIDIA executives back in July, and mentioned that NVIDIA is rapidly gaining compute share with Anthropic (they didn't mention Anthropic by name, but it was obvious they were talking about Anthropic). Anthropic needs all the capacity they can get, as they are seeing very strong demand. Also on Wednesday, Reuters reported that Samsung and SK Hynix both provided statements to Reuters regarding their plans to increase shareholder returns. In December, the restrictions on Micron conducting share repurchases (related to the CHIPS Act) should begin to ease. Looking ahead, we have NVIDIA earnings on August 26, 2026. I continue to be bullish on NVIDIA long-term. NVIDIA has multiple large long-term growth opportunities in front of it. Sovereign AI, enterprise AI, AI-native startups, physical AI, and quantum computing are all large long-term growth opportunities for NVIDIA. Blackwell Ultra has ramped quickly and remains in high demand. Vera Rubin is on track to launch in 2026. We're expecting NVIDIA Groq 3 LPX in the second half of 2026. Then, we're expecting Rubin Ultra in 2027. And later on, we're expecting NVIDIA's Feynman in 2028. We have a clear datacenter product roadmap extending into 2028, and Jensen Huang believes there will be $3T-$4T of global AI factory buildout annually by the end of the decade.
