Four people, including a child, are dead, and several others were injured after a severe crash on Calgary’s Stoney Trail late Sunday night, police say.
It happened around 11 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway, near the Tsuut’ina Parkway. That’s when police believe a 2011 Mercedes Benz C350, driven by a 30-year-old man who was travelling southbound in the northbound lanes, collided with an oncoming 2016 Subaru Impreza.
All three occupants of the Mercedes including a woman and child were pronounced dead at the scene along with a 43-year-old man who was sole occupant of the Subaru.
As Global’s Craig Momney reports, a police investigation is ongoing.
