A sightseeing flight over Peru's famous Nazca Lines ended in tragedy after a light aircraft crashed into farmland and burst into flames, killing all 13 people on board.

The aircraft, operated by Peruvian company Aerodiana, was carrying 11 tourists along with a pilot and a guide when it lost contact with air traffic control before crashing near Nasca in the Ica region.

Dramatic visuals from the crash site show the aircraft engulfed in flames as firefighters, police officers and emergency responders rushed to contain the blaze and secure the area.

Authorities have confirmed that there were no survivors. Investigators from Peru's civil aviation authority are heading to the scene to determine what caused the deadly crash. The identities and nationalities of the victims have not yet been released.
