A Delhi court has sentenced former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and four others to life imprisonment for the murder of Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma during the 2020 Northeast Delhi riots. Prosecutors had sought the death penalty, calling it a "rarest of rare" case, but the court ruled that the possibility of reform could not be ruled out.
