Bhiwandi Building Collapse Death Toll Rises To Nine | Several Still Feared Trapped | N18V

A portion of a four-storey building collapsed in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi on Thursday night, killing at least nine people and there are fears that several people may be trapped under the debris. Rescue operations are currently underway, with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local police deployed at the site.

According to initial information, a significant section of the structure gave way while work was in progress. Authorities said the building had been vacated earlier due to its weakness and structural condition, but some workers are feared to have been caught in the collapse.
