Bomb-proof van bought ahead of Kinahan extradition | RTÉ News

Preparations are underway for the return to Ireland of Daniel Kinahan, one of the leaders of the Kinahan Organised Crime Group.

Mr Kinahan has lost his final appeal in Dubai and will remain in custody there until he is handed over to the gardaí, which is expected in the next six weeks.

The Irish Prison Service has purchased a new bomb-proof and bulletproof escort van to be used when moving criminal gang leaders, terrorists and other high-risk inmates, ahead of the arrival of Daniel Kinahan back to Ireland.
