CNBC Today On NVIDIA Stock, Micron Stock, SK Hynix Earnings, Big Tech Earnings - NVDA Update
Hosts of CNBC discuss NVIDIA, NVIDIA stock (NVDA stock), Micron, Micron stock (MU stock), SK Hynix, SK Hynix stock (SKHY stock), SK Hynix earnings, Meta earnings, and Microsoft earnings. Wednesday was a rough day throughout much of the market following SK Hynix earnings overnight, then tensions flared in the Middle East, then we had FOMC in the afternoon, the president also made some comments about AI controls and the competition with China, and all of this was happening as investors nervously waited for earnings from Meta, Microsoft, and Samsung. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang visited the White House on Wednesday. CNBC reported that, according to a partial transcript, OpenAI's CFO said in an internal meeting that OpenAI's ARR in July exceeded the entire Q2. That doesn't sound quite right. Granted, CNBC said they had access to a partial transcript, so perhaps that is what's causing the confusion. I think what OpenAI's CFO likely meant was that net-new ARR added in July was greater than all of Q2. That would make more sense. Hopefully we get clarification from OpenAI soon. Regardless, revenue appears to be accelerating. Meta announced today they are raising their 2026 CapEx range to $130-$145 billion (up from $125-$145 billion previously). Microsoft announced accelerating revenue growth in Azure, announce next-quarter CapEx is expected to be over $50 billion, announced that they made efficiency improvements that allowed them to bring more capacity online during the quarter than they expected, and they were able to monetize that additional new capacity quickly. That is all very positive for NVIDIA, Micron, SK Hynix, and the rest of the AI hardware supply chain. Looking ahead, Amazon earnings are scheduled for July 30, 2026. Overall, I expect each of the major four hyperscale companies to report strong CapEx guidance this earnings season due to multiple reasons. I continue to be bullish on NVIDIA long-term. NVIDIA has multiple large long-term growth opportunities in front of it. Sovereign AI, enterprise AI, AI-native startups, physical AI, and quantum computing are all large long-term growth opportunities for NVIDIA. Blackwell Ultra has ramped quickly and remains in high demand. Vera Rubin is on track to launch in 2026. We're expecting NVIDIA Groq 3 LPX in the second half of 2026. Then, we're expecting Rubin Ultra in 2027. And later on, we're expecting NVIDIA's Feynman in 2028. We have a clear datacenter product roadmap extending into 2028, and Jensen Huang believes there will be $3T-$4T of global AI factory buildout annually by the end of the decade.
