SC Orders No Coercive Action Against Student Protesters

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, July 28, directed states to release protesters arrested or detained during the recent student demonstrations, provided they have no criminal antecedents. While the Supreme Court did not direct forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT), it ordered an independent probe into the allegations.
