Student Protests Pellet Gun Controversy: RAF Begins Review | Sources Say Plastic Pellets Were Used

An internal inquiry has been initiated by the Rapid Action Force (RAF) following reports that anti-riot guns were fired twice on the instructions of a Delhi Police officer of DCP rank during a protest near Parliament. According to sources and a General Diary entry dated July 22, the action involved firing 55 non-electric shells, 15 electric shells, five tear smoke grenades, and two rounds from anti-riot guns using plastic pellet cartridges, leaving at least four people injured.
