After a historic run at Wimbledon, beating the defending champion, Iga Swiatek and becoming the first Filipina to reach the fourth round of the Grand Slam tournament, Alex Eala arrived home to a hero’s welcome.
The 21-year-old rising star has sparked a new interest in tennis in her country that’s filling stands and watch parties.
