ODESA, CHORNOMORSK HIT: Russia Claims 10,000+ Ukrainian Losses, Captures Eight Settlements

Russia's Defence Ministry said its forces carried out one massive strike and 18 group strikes across Ukraine between July 18 and July 24, targeting ports, defence industry facilities and military infrastructure. Moscow also claimed its troops captured eight settlements across multiple regions and inflicted more than 10,000 Ukrainian casualties during the reporting period. The ministry further said Russian air defences intercepted thousands of drones and multiple missiles, while the Black Sea Fleet destroyed seven Ukrainian uncrewed surface vessels. Reuters could not independently verify the battlefield claims, and Ukraine has not commented on the latest Russian assessment.
