Fresh US airstrikes reportedly hit Iran's southwestern city of Ahvaz as Washington's military campaign entered its 13th consecutive day. Iranian media claimed around 30 strikes targeted the area, with at least four people killed and dozens injured. CENTCOM said the operation targeted drone storage sites and IRGC command centres as part of efforts to protect international shipping in the region. Explosions were also reported in Bandar Abbas, Khuzestan, Sirik, Jask and Qeshm Island. The strikes come amid rising tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, with Iran and the US issuing conflicting claims over maritime access and regional security.
