Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said it detained three residents of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic on suspicion of treason and cooperation with Ukrainian intelligence services. In footage released by the FSB, the detainees alleged they were tasked with collecting military intelligence, monitoring local developments and providing information on government personnel and enterprises. One suspect claimed Ukrainian agents asked him to identify locations later targeted in attacks, while another alleged he was recruited to gather information on staffing, cargo movements and military activity. Reuters could not independently verify the claims made by the detainees or the FSB.
