Security Tightened At PM Modi Residence Amid Congress Protest | Rahul Gandhi | Priyanka | Kharge
Congress MPs staged a flash protest near the Prime Minister’s residence after alleging that opposition voices were being stifled in Parliament. Leaders demanded that the Prime Minister address both Houses and that Parliament hold a discussion on paper leaks, student arrests and the future of young people. They also renewed their demand for the Education Minister’s resignation. The protest included symbolic handcuffs to represent claims that lawmakers were not being allowed to speak or act. Police and Rapid Action Force personnel were deployed in the high-security area, and officers asked the protesters to leave after registering their protest. The gathering followed a meeting at the Congress president’s residence and was described as an unplanned march by party MPs. The bulletin also showed opposition leaders seated on the road as additional police personnel arrived.
