The newly crowned World Champions, Spain arrived in Madrid on Monday afternoon (July 20).
Captain Rodri and head coach Luis de la Fuente led the victorious team. Spain needed an extra-time goal by substitute Ferran Torres to edge past 10-man defending champions Argentina 1-0 to win the World Cup on Sunday.
De la Fuente's boys are now headed to meet the King of Spain Felipe VI followed by a parade in Madrid later.
The squad landed at Madrid-Barajas Airport at 14:30 local time before heading to official receptions with Spanish royalty and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. They are currently parading through the city to celebrate their second historic World Cup star.
Ferran Torres sealed Spain's second World Cup title with the only goal of the final, smashing home from close range after reacting to a loose ball in the penalty area in extra time. The strike finally broke the deadlock after more than 100 minutes of play.
