Keir Starmer has resigned as the British Prime Minister just two years after winning a massive parliamentary majority.
He'll be succeeded by Andy Burnham, a former Mayor of Manchester who only became a member of parliament last month, although he had previously served in cabinet.
Leaving Downing Street for the last time, Starmer said he was leaving “in good grace, proud of everything we have achieved”.
Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull reports from Downing Street.
