Wildfire smoke returns

Thick smoke from nearly 200 wildfires burning across northern Ontario is expected to deteriorate air quality in eastern cities including Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto this weekend. CTV's Kimberley Johnson speaks with Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson, who warns that a large plume of smoke will work its way through the region by Saturday. Kingston resident Charlotte Akin says she has been hunkering down indoors to avoid the worst of the smog conditions. Environment Canada says forecasted winds and potential severe thunderstorms could help ease the poor air quality in the coming days.
