WATCH: FSB Releases Dramatic Arrest Video After Foiling Terror Attack On Russian Energy Network
Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) released footage showing the detention of a man accused of participating in an alleged Ukraine-directed plot to sabotage critical energy infrastructure in western Siberia. According to the FSB, the suspect was arrested in the Tyumen region after allegedly retrieving a bag containing an improvised explosive device intended for an attack on the Krasnoyarsk main oil pipeline. In a video released by Russian authorities, the suspect says he had been in contact with a Ukrainian intelligence officer and had provided information about oil and gas infrastructure before allegedly being instructed to collect the explosive device. Reuters could not independently verify the claims or the circumstances surrounding the arrest. The incident comes amid continued accusations of cross-border sabotage linked to the Russia-Ukraine war.
