Ukraine and the European Union are set to sign a new defense partnership, as Ursula von der Leyen travels to Kyiv to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday. The 2-billion-euro deal, shown exclusively to TVP World, focuses on joint weapons production and deepening integration into the EU’s defense industry, as Europe scrambles to close gaps in Kyiv’s air defense.
- RUSSIA TARGETS KYIV DESPITE NEW WESTERN SUPPORT
Overnight into Tuesday, the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, came under attack from Russian ballistic missiles and drones, sparking fires in several parts of the city. The attack came in the wake of an announcement from Paris that the Coalition of the Willing will increase its military aid for Ukraine.
- RUSSIAN LNG EXPORTS UP 16%
Ukraine is successfully targeting the Russian oil sector to hinder the country's war efforts. However, Russian LNG continues to make its way to Europe, resulting in a 16% annual increase in total LNG exports, with France emerging as its top EU destination.
