BREAKING: 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the murder of Ann Widdecombe in South Yorkshire

The man was arrested at a South Yorkshire address, Devon and Cornwall Police said. The suspect is a white British national and is now in police custody.

The force added that there was still no information to suggest it was a terrorism-related incident. South Yorkshire Police and Counter Terrorism Policing North East carried out the arrest on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police.

This follows the release of a 26-year-old white British male, who was arrested at an address in Newton Abbot. That man is no longer part of the investigation.

Devon and Cornwall Police Assistant Chief Constable Matt Longman previously said the case was moving at a "significant pace".
