Gurugram Encounter: 4 Shooters Dead, 3 Cops Hurt In Sushant Lok Gunfight Over Extortion

A fierce gunfight erupted in Gurugram's Sushant Lok area between the Crime Branch and five armed criminals, leaving four shooters dead and one critically injured. Three police personnel also sustained injuries during the exchange of approximately 24 rounds. The criminals, travelling in a black Scorpio, were reportedly working for foreign-based gangster Deepak Nandal. They targeted a prominent local businessman who had been receiving extortion calls from Nandal. After the businessman failed to pay the ransom, the shooters arrived at his residence to intimidate him by opening fire. The Crime Branch, acting on prior intelligence, intercepted the criminals and asked them to surrender. However, the suspects opened fire on the police team with sophisticated weapons, leading to retaliatory firing by the authorities. The injured criminals and police officers were immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment. The police are currently scanning CCTV footage to track the criminals' movements and investigating the local network supplying weapons and instructions to the shooters.
