Total Eclipse of the Heart singer dies in hospital in Portugal aged 75

Legendary Welsh rock singer Bonnie Tyler has died in Portugal aged 75, her family has announced.

A statement on her Facebook page said the singer "unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for".

The Total Eclipse of the Heart singer had been treated in intensive care after being placed in an induced coma following emergency intestinal surgery in May.
