CENTCOM says it has launched series of strikes on Iran

The US Central Command says it has launched a series of strikes on Iran, describing them as a response to Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. It said the operation was intended to impose "a significant cost" for targeting civilian shipping in an international waterway, calling the attacks an "unprovoked and dangerous" violation of the ceasefire.
