At least 26 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in a riot at Negombo prison in Sri Lanka. Authorities say the violence began as a fight between rival prisoner groups before escalating, while some inmates accused security forces of opening fire indiscriminately. Families gathered outside the prison demanding information about their relatives as investigations continue.
