Apartment residents displaced by flash flooding

An Ottawa apartment building on McEwan Avenue remains without power days after a record-breaking Canada Day storm triggered severe flash flooding. CTV's Natalie van Rooy reports that the flooding completely filled the basement of the Park West apartment building, causing the power system vault to blow. The City of Ottawa confirmed it provided temporary accommodations to 45 displaced residents. Ottawa Hydro and Ottawa Fire Services remained on site Sunday as residents like Sharron Ducharme expressed frustration over long delays and unanswered insurance claims.
