What happens when real artillery shell steel is forged into a Damascus knife? In this project, I pack the steel into a canister, forge-weld it into a patterned billet, shape the blade, etch the Damascus, and finish it with a custom wooden handle. The final result is one of the most unusual knives I’ve ever made.
