Who (or should we say what) is Tung Tung Tung Sahur, and why does this AI-generated character have so much staying power in a time when memes die off quickly?
It all started when an Indonesian TikToker named Noxa uploaded a 24-second AI-generated video of a wooden bat-swinging creature in February 2025. It hit 135 million views as part of a viral wave of Italian and Indonesian brainrot characters. Tung Tung Tung Sahur - AKA Triple T - became a breakout star, but things got out of hand quickly when his creator ended up in a legal fight with the developer of a Roblox game over whether you can even own an AI character.
