The garage gym transformation continues! This week I'm tackling the storage room, installing Trusscore wall and ceiling panels, figuring out the best installation techniques, and slowly building the confidence to take on the rest of the space.
Sometimes the best way to stay motivated during a renovation is to finish one small section first, and that's exactly what I'm doing. Along the way I install ceiling panels, cut perfectly aligned openings for the lights (thankfully they actually fit 😅), fur out the walls around the beam for a seamless finish, and finally start getting the Trusscore wall panels installed.
Outside, we also had an arborist remove two large trees after discovering significant rot that could have posed a safety risk near Griffin's play area. It was a reminder that homeownership isn't just about renovations. Sometimes it's about making the difficult decisions that keep your family safe.
Every week this project gets a little closer to becoming the home gym I've been envisioning, and it's exciting to finally see real progress.
