The Pune police are investigating a murder conspiracy that began as an arranged marriage. Before the wedding preparations commenced, the families matched twenty-seven gunas through an astrologer to verify compatibility. However, the deceased fiancé had raised concerns to his family regarding the woman's growing distance and her ongoing relationship with a male friend. Although she claimed all contact with the friend had ended prior to the engagement, investigators found they remained in regular contact. Call records indicate the two exchanged over two thousand phone calls and spoke for nearly two hundred and thirty-eight hours over six months. Police are now conducting forensic examinations on the mobile phones to retrieve deleted chats and reconstruct the digital trail.
