Crossfire reporters Richard Pendlebury and Jamie Wiseman travel to Ukraine’s Sumy front, where they meet a Ukrainian drone interceptor unit from the Kraken Regiment. From early morning deployments to tense scrambles against incoming Russian drones, they witness how technological warfare is rapidly evolving: Russian Zala, Supercam and Lancet drones become targets themselves, stalked and destroyed before they can guide artillery or strike.
But the hunters are hunted too, and nothing about this fight is safe or certain. This is a close, unfiltered look at drone-on-drone combat, filmed from the ground , where innovation keeps pace with danger, and where there are few happy endings.
