You uninvite me from your wedding one week before the big day… after I helped plan and pay for your bachelorette? Oh, bride, be so serious. That is not “protecting your peace.” That is using people and then hitting send on a corporate rejection email.

In today’s story, I’m reading about OP getting cut from a wedding just days before it happens by a bride she’s known for over 15 years. They were never super close, but OP still showed up, helped with planning, contributed money to the bachelorette, and tried to manage it all while dealing with a chronic illness. Then out of nowhere, the bride sends a cold little message saying OP will no longer be part of the day because she needs “clarity” before the wedding. Ma’am. Clarity would have been not taking her money first. After helping fund the bachelorette, buying a dress for the bride’s color-coded vision, and having her partner take PTO for the Friday wedding, OP basically gets fired as a guest. One week before. The audacity is wearing a veil.

Would you ask for your money back too, or just block her and let the wedding karma handle it? And tell me honestly… if someone uninvited you after taking your time, money, and energy, would that friendship be over for good?
