The Ukrainian Defense Forces' actions in the south to destroy Russian logistics are far from the first phase of our efforts to isolate temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk stated this on Ukrainian Radio .

"Now we're talking about the 'icing on the cake.' I don't want to say this is the final stage, so as not to raise unnecessary hopes, but this is far from the first phase of our actions," he said.

The press secretary recalled that over the past year, air defense systems in Crimea and elsewhere have been systematically destroyed. He stated that after the air defenses are destroyed, the next targets will be those elements of the military infrastructure they were protecting. Pletenchuk emphasized that enemy air defenses are being destroyed in order to clear a path for themselves, and at the moment, this is already the result of these actions – the ability to use these weapons systems to destroy, for example, logistics. "This is integrated with the development of these systems. Because yes, drones operate over long distances, and, of course, the Ukrainian 'technical genius' has played a role here, refining everything it sees and modernizing it in ways that often surprise even manufacturers. And this system isn't limited to the Unmanned Systems Force. I see this constantly… All of this is yielding results. So, the Ukrainian initiative is truly playing, perhaps, one of the most significant roles in all of these successes," he explained. As reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' strikes on Russian logistics, particularly bridges, have reduced the enemy's assault activity . This applies not only to the Chongar Bridge, but also to strikes on bridges over the North Crimean Canal and the highway leading from Taganrog, Russia, to Crimea. Thanks to the Ukrainian Defense Forces targeting Russian logistics , particularly bridges, the frequency of assaults has decreased.

Vladislav Voloshin, press secretary for the Southern Defense Forces, suggested that the decrease in activity is due to the enemy amassing forces in certain areas. At the same time, he explained, the number of drone strikes and artillery shelling by the enemy is not decreasing. Furthermore, the Russians are increasing their use of aircraft precisely because of logistical problems. As the press secretary explained, the enemy is attempting to replace certain types of weapons with others. For example, the Russians are compensating for the reduction in artillery strikes by increasing their air defense capabilities. At the same time, he said, it's possible that the decline in activity is due to the enemy's buildup of forces in certain areas. However, control over enemy logistics, particularly critical assets such as bridges, is crucial. This applies not only to the Chongar Bridge, but also to attacks on bridges over the North Crimean Canal and the highway leading from Taganrog, Russia, to Crimea. As a reminder, Dmitry Filatov, commander of the First Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmitry Kotsyubail, reported that the Chongar Bridge in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast has sustained significant damage and is currently completely blocking traffic. He added that following the attacks, the occupiers are forced to adjust their logistics and seek new supply routes through Crimea. The military officer assured that the Chongar Bridge had suffered critical damage. Comprehensive repairs are required to restore the structure. The Russian army is deploying pontoon bridges nearby, has changed its logistics, and has begun moving through Armyansk, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces also control this route.
