Keir Starmer has now said he is **duty bound** to remain as Prime Minister.
Duty bound.
Not because the country is united behind him.
Not because the public are inspired.
Not because people feel safer, freer, richer, or better represented.
But because Keir Starmer has decided that Keir Starmer must stay.
And that tells you everything about the arrogance of this government.
In this video, we look at Starmer’s latest interview, where he insists that staying in office is not about vanity, stubbornness, or personal ambition — but about “duty.”
But the real question is:
Duty to whom?
Because a Prime Minister’s duty is not to himself.
It is not to the Labour Party.
It is not to advisers, donors, institutions, or the Westminster bubble.
His duty is to the people.
The people who live here.
Work here.
Pay tax here.
Raise families here.
And expect basic safety, order, freedom, and representation in their own country.
But millions of people now feel ignored.
They look at immigration and see chaos.
They look at policing and see two-tier standards.
They look at free speech and see ordinary people targeted while activists are treated differently.
They look at the economy and feel poorer.
They look at Britain and ask whether this is really the country they voted for.
And when they raise concerns, they are lectured, smeared, dismissed, or told the problem is them.
That is why this moment matters.
Because there is a difference between having the legal power to remain in office and having the moral authority to lead.
Starmer may still have the machinery of government.
He may still have the numbers in Parliament.
But does he still have the trust of the public?
That is the question.
And when ordinary people confront senior Labour figures in the street, when public anger is visible everywhere, and when the Prime Minister responds by saying he has a “duty” to stay, many people will hear something very different:
I am not listening.
I am not moving.
I am not going anywhere.
That is not duty.
That is defiance.
So is Starmer serving the country?
Or is he simply clinging on?
