Join me and Toby as we head deep into the Foothill State Forest, searching for a hidden lake I spotted on Google Maps. What started as a mission for a quiet campsite turned into a strange discovery when we found 14,000 acres of tax-forfeit land and abandoned power tools left behind in the middle of nowhere.
This trip pushed the limits of the truck—from navigating 2.5ft deep potholes and "ghost trails" to breaking my factory backup camera while trying to level out at a "secret" lake. We also experience a mysterious ground-shaking rumbling that had both me and Toby on edge.
Whether it's cooking up a campfire turkey and bacon sandwich or dodging a massive incoming storm, this solo truck camping adventure was full of surprises.
