It Feels Good To Be Back!

Horse showing is HUMBLING… but honestly, I had SO much fun at this show 🐴💕

From Ethel stepping into completely new classes for the very first time to Kennedy settling into western pleasure with me finally starting to trust her more, this whole week felt like such a huge learning experience for both me and my mares. We definitely had our messy moments (including missed side passes, horse show nerves, and even a mid-pattern poop situation), but there were also so many moments that gave me hope for where we’re headed.

I’m taking y’all behind the scenes of our AQHA horse show days, from horsemanship and ranch riding to western pleasure, warmups, spa treatments, and all the little horse girl moments in between. I also break down what went right, what needs work, and what I learned from each ride.

Watching these mares improve throughout the show made me so excited for what’s ahead. There’s something really special about seeing the small progress moments start to click.
