Some light entertainment, literally, well headlight entertainment to be exact! Another near feature length workshop fixing session! This time it's electrical fixes including a headlight up grade but also a couple of other jobs; a handy cup/nut holder and some spanners instead of the original ice cream cones. Will this additional work be enough to get our nasty old 1983 Ford Transit ice cream van through an MoT test? Is upgrading the headlights the right thing to do and will they satisfy the MoT tester when the time comes?
Our 1983 Ford Transit ice cream van is having some serious rear light issues that would definitely fail an MoT. This car repair project involves some crucial electrical troubleshooting, as the sidelights, brake lights, and indicators act strangely when used simultaneously. Join me as I tackle this electrical repair, investigating potential bad earths or dodgy electrical wiring to get this transit van back on the road safely.
