I’m trying to verify a birth registration online but I’m unsure where to start. Does each state or city have its own portal or is there a central system? I came across the term Birth registration online verification but I’m not clear on how it works in practice.

 

What exact information is required: registration number, date of birth, parent names, or something else? Also, how soon after submitting a birth registration does it usually become available for online verification?
